Neglected Disease & Innovation Symposium
Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) is organizing a symposium on the role of universities as non-profits in the medicine innovation system, particularly related to their role in finding cures for neglected diseases as well as open-source research methods. The symposium will be held in American Universty, Washington College of Law, Washington, D.C, on November 20, 2010 from 8:30 A.M to 6:30 P.M.
The conference will bring together delegates and speakers, including product development partnerships (PDPs), university administrators, researchers, industry actors, technology transfer officials, funding institutions and students to explore the role of universities in the broader innovation system and directions for university policy to best improve both innovation and access to medicines.
